As the new arrivals in Ringwood, we liked the idea of getting involved in the local business community so supporting the Ringwood Carnival seemed a good place to start.
Ringwood saw its very first Carnival in 1929! Carnivals followed in 1931 and 1934, when the Coldstream Guards marched through the town in full dress uniform.
The first Carnival after the war was in 1950 and has continued every year since. The Carnival now acts as a focus for the local community and charitable groups.
The Ringwood Carnival Society is a registered charity, established to co-ordinate, manage and develop a guaranteed festival of fun for the whole family. Through this, the society aim to raise much-needed funds, making donations to local charities and good causes.
Join in the fun and support Ringwood – from 12.00 pm on Saturday 17th September 2016.
