KFA Connect’s new researched report considers how IT can deliver real value.
So, what do companies need to address for IT to deliver real value?
As part of our commissioned report, we have had the opportunity to interview a number of business directors – to find out more about the issues they are currently facing.
In a recent interview with Graytone Group Managing Director, Graham Yates he has helped us to explore what he feels needs to be addressed in order to align IT with business strategies and operations.
He shared one of the significant business demands Graytone have to resolve…
“We have got an inventory of £1.8million and all of it has a shelf life and a release life of two years, so order forecasting has to be accurate.”
He also commented on how mindful they are of the importance to get the systems working in the best way possible to suit the business;
“With the integration of the enterprise planning systems with customer relationship management, IT still has the potential to reduce overheads massively. It is a powerful tool provided you can get it working for the business and don’t become a slave to it.”
Then, looking forward he also likes the idea of going into eCommerce;
“IT can be a great enabler. I like the idea of selling a product to someone on the other side of the world while we’re sleeping.”
Leading up to the publication of the full report, which will be published in DECISION magazine and then as a digital book; you can download the full thought-provoking interview with Graytone here.
