Hilary Palmer celebrates her amazing 30-year milestone at KFA Connect.
Hilary’s journey with the company began in 1994 when the team was just six strong, a far cry from the much larger workforce we have today.
At that time, the company was known as Kingfisher Associates and was based in Wimborne St Giles. The company remained there until 2015 when continued growth necessitated a move to more spacious offices in Ringwood.
Throughout her 30 years with the company, Hilary has witnessed significant transformations. In the early days, connecting with customers via modem posed challenges that are now unimaginable with the seamless technology of today. For half of her career, Hilary dedicated herself to supporting KFA customers like Centaur Grain (now Openfield), Mitutoyo, Deublin, Nutland Carpets, and others.
Additionally, she has been an integral part of the Vodafone support team, offering out-of-hours support and development work whenever needed.
Over the last 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing many memorable moments both at work and outside of work, that has been made even better by working with such an incredible group of people. Work can get stressful, but it’s so much easier to manage when you’re surrounded by colleagues who are so supportive. It’s a formula that just works!
I’ve always enjoyed a good challenge, and the sense of teamwork that being part of transformative projects gives and this is something that continues to excite me.
KFA has always been incredibly supportive, not just in the good times, but more importantly, during the tougher moments, especially with the challenges brought on by COVID-19. The pandemic tested us all, but it also highlighted how resilient and committed we are as a team. I think that’s one of the main reasons I’ve been here for 30 years – the unwavering support and the strong sense of community we’ve built together.
