KFA launch new ‘Get IT Real’ initiative.
Teenagers often make career decisions based on their perception of a role from TV and media and why would they not?
KFA have come up with a new initiative to help ensure that they are equipped with a real-life view of the role they have chosen and are excited to have launched ‘Get IT Real’.
The scheme will allow 6th-form schools, colleges and universities to apply to visit the KFA offices in Ringwood. Here they can spend between 1 and 3 hours with the team/s and ask real-world questions relating to the varying roles in the IT world.
We want to help career paths.
There are many dimensions within the world of IT, so it’s important to get an idea of what role will suit each personality and attitude.
This can make a huge difference to the individual’s long-term happiness and success.
Our Design, Development, Test and Support teams will be on hand during the session to answer questions relating to the roles and hopefully equip the students with more detailed information about what day-to-day life is really like in the IT world and, of course, in particular, the role they are most interested in pursuing.
During the sessions, we will encourage the students to share what they would like to do in the business and then be offered the chance to sit, watch and discuss what the appropriate team member does within their role.
Our team is passionate about what we do and will enjoy sharing experiences about working for KFA and the early days in their career. We hope that other businesses will join us by offering the chance for students to judge the job and not be judged themselves.
