Norwood Aquarium is one of the UK’s leading aquatic wholesalers, a family-run business since the 1960s.
KFA’s relationship with Norwood Aquarium began in 2021 with them engaging our services to help replace their IBM i (v7.4) and introduce a new DR (Disaster Recovery) solution.
This was completed early in 2022 and included a backup solution where KFA backup directly from the Norwood IBM i to a server in the KFA Connect datacentre. This gives Norwood an off-site backup that can be accessed instantly should it be required.
How KFA Have Helped Norwood Aquarium
KFA are currently developing a new Magento v2.4 eCommerce website for Norwood utilising BPA Platform to integrate Magento with the IBM i application. Stock levels are passed between the 2 systems and orders (including amendments to orders) are passed from Magento to the IBM i.
Because of our skills in Magento, systems integration and IBM i, KFA have been able to develop all aspects of this project and deliver a fully functional, working solution. A KFA-developed dashboard front end to the IBM i gives visibility of all documents related to the delivery, invoice, and customer statement documents created in PDF.
