French Connection Shopify Plus eCommerce & 'Options' Integration Project
Read here how KFA Connect completed a complex integration project for French Connection, which involved linking four new Shopify Plus eCommerce websites (UK, US, EU, and Great Plains) with the company’s legacy customer service and warehouse system, Options.
The project was a multi-stage integration, with key priorities including order feeds, stock updates, and returns information. A crucial aspect of the project was integrating a modern eCommerce platform (Shopify Plus) with ‘Options’, a long-standing but non-integrated system, which required developing new automation processes and custom code to ensure smooth data flow between the platforms.
The project was time-sensitive, with the integrations needing to be live before Black Friday, one of the busiest retail periods of the year. KFA Connect approached the challenge by using BPA Platform, an automation toolkit, to handle data transfers such as orders, stock levels, and returns between Shopify and Options.
Despite the bespoke nature of Options and the demanding deadline, our team collaborated closely with French Connection, the Options team, and their Shopify Plus partner, Velstar, to ensure success. KFA provided not only technical solutions but also comprehensive project management and documentation.
The project was delivered on time and within budget, with all four Shopify Plus websites going live in a staggered rollout and successfully meeting the Black Friday deadline. KFA’s integration solution resulted in seamless operations for French Connection during this critical period and French Connection praised KFA for our knowledge, flexibility, and commitment to delivering a high-quality solution tailored to the business’s needs.
